For today’s Freebie Friday, we wanted to share an interview we did with Brooklyn based artist, and former Artist In Residence, Ehren Clodfelter. We talked about what it means to be a “real” artist, what type of work he creates, the relationship between art and self, and why, no matter what new ideas pop up, he keeps going back to the line as primary in his work. Ehren speaks about the importance of sharing work versus just making a sale.
If you find this helpful or interesting, we have more interviews and other content on starrynightonline.com, where you can enroll in our online course, Artist Resources and Tools, or better known as ART School. Or, if you are specifically interested in learning about creating your best portfolio and application, we made a short program called Great Applications. Check it out!

Have you taken our housing survey yet?
We are conducting some research about housing, and would love your feedback!
Many real estate owners and developers think working people (and specifically artists) want to rent forever. Can this be true? Here is a survey to help us better understand the needs of working people, and artists specifically, in regards to their housing. Please fill this out and re-post where you can. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us. https://goo.gl/forms/vLX3ouVpfMkVNfmD2
