Scholarship Recipients Announced

White Sands National Monument at Sunset

It is with great pleasure that we announce the recipients of our ART School Scholarship. Giving back has been a big part of Starry Night from the very beginning, and since May of this year, we have given away over $15,000 in Scholarship awards to emerging artists and writers.  We do not take these awards lightly, and we love it when we can find strong candidates from all over the world who are ready to do take this big step – and need a little extra help getting there.

Below are the 2015  recipients of the ART School Scholarship award. These applicants submitted applications that were a pleasure to read, and they didn’t shy away from the camera and when asked to upload a concise, sometimes quirky video of themselves talking about why they wanted to go to ART School.  This is a part of their required application materials, and completing it was probably the hardest part of the whole process. It is not easy to get in front of the camera, record yourself, and hit the “upload” button, and we commend them for publicly showing their commitment to their artistic careers and their willingness to do the work that it requires.  This is not an easy application for that one reason, and we couldn’t be more proud of the artists who rose to the top.

And lest you think ART School is only for Visual Artists, note the writers who were accepted into the program!  Welcome, you wordy fools! We can’t wait to have you join the fall guided session, which starts Monday, September 7th.
